Office locations are not stored in IndustrySafe.
Industry safe is a project based system, whereby incidents, observations, and events are logged against projects. This allows the software to import man-hours based on a project. Employees charge their time to "projects" which can be direct projects or indirect (overhead) "projects" found in AECOM financial systems. Man-hours do not relate to office locations, therefore, office locations are not stored as part of the hierarchy inside IndustrySafe.
The reasoning behind this is twofold:
1. In order to calculate metrics (TRIR, RIR, DART, etc.) man-hours must be associated with a project. As office locations do not have man-hours charged against them, it is not possible to calculate rates against an office.
2. The IndustrySafe hierarchy is synchronized with the MMR and BGR hierarchies for financials. Offices would not follow this logic. For instance, many office locations contain personnel from multiple business units. While each person is physically located within an office location, their man-hours are logged against a financial code attributed to their business unit's hierarchy.
